The action and barrel retain approximately 75% of the original blue. The butt stock has a rounded pistol grip and has minor scratches and bruising being fitted with the original Browning butt plate. The fore end has had a repair on the top left hand side. The repair seems good, but the colour match in the timber stands out. Most of the original lacquer finish on the fore end has had to be removed in order to have the repair done, so it slightly mismatches in colour the butt stock. All the metal fittings are in the right place with nothing missing. All the screws are clean with no burrs. The gun is fitted with a single trigger and the barrel can be selected via the safety catch on the top tang and is fitted with split ejectors, meaning only the fired case is ejected from the gun when opened. Browning have had an excellent reputation for quality both in manufacturing and styling and components used are usually the very best available. This is a good opportunity to own a true classic under and over field gun at a very reasonable price.
