The rifle we are looking at here is the Marlin 917 VSF in 17HMR. These rifles are very popular and quite sought after. They have all the features of a fine small game rifle and some features not normally found on most 22’s. For instance the rifle’s stock is laminated for strength, and also has a thumbhole which is commonly found on a lot of target style rifles. The metalwork is stainless steel and the barrel has been fluted to reduce some of the carry weight. The gun also comes drilled and tapped with a set of scope bases which are in the box and come with the gun. It also has a dovetail to mount conventional 22 style rings to. The magazine holds five rounds and is easily accessible to remove and replace. The rifle comes factory fitted with quick detachable sling swivels which will also take a bi-pod if you have one, or would like to fit one to the rifle.
