Mossberg have specifically engineered this shotgun so it can be easily used by children. They’ve achieved this by first shortening the barrel to 18.5” / 470mm and fitting it with a ventilated rib, double beads for easy sighting and Mossbergs Accuchoke interchoke system. The gun is supplied with three chokes. The shotgun is chambered 3” so it can take all 2 ¾” shells and all 3” shells, so a wide variety of shells can be fired through it, from light trap loads through to heavy field loads. Mossberg have also shortened the synthetic butt stock to 10 ½” with a factory rubber recoil pad. They also supply a spacer and a recoil pad which will bring the gun stock length to 11 ½” so as the kids grow and get taller the gun can basically grow with them. The gun is basically a copy of it’s big brother the Mossberg 500, which has always proved to be reliable and easy to operate and easy to clean. The magazine is an under barrel tube which is able to take 4x 2 ¾” shells or 3x 3” shells. One of the members of our staff has his two young boys and his daughters using both the 20g version of this gun and the 410g.
