This ammunition is to suit the US30 Carbine which was used by the Americans during WWII.  Fortunately this ammunition is loaded with 110gn softpoint round nose projectile making it ideal for hunting smaller game.  The weapon is not the most powerful gun in the world, but is ideally suited for shooting smaller game at close ranges.  The ammunition has always been a little harder to get and generally quite expensive, but now Highlander are manufacturing it and the price is very good, I think a lot more owners will get the opportunity to use their rifles.
