Mag Type: detachable box Mag capacity: 32 rounds Sights: fixed peep rear post front Made in: England New/Used: used Comment The Mk III Sten gun pictured here was manufactured by Lines Bros Ltd in the UK who were the largest manufacturer of this model. The biggest difference from the Mk II was the unification of the receiver, ejection port and barrel shroud. That now extends further up the barrel. The barrel was fixed and the body was welded shut along the centre of the top.
The Mark III is probably the most cheaply made of all the Stens. This one shows all the signs of a gun used in combat. Most of the black finish is missing with only the butt stock retaining any amount of colour. The machine gun has also had a replacement cover fitted which is still marked LB when Lines Bros who are the original manufacturer. You can tell this part is new because it is in very good condition with no wear and tear. If you have an interest in Sten guns then you will know about all of the marks.
