Product Description

Hoppe's No. 9 Solvent - Famous No. 9 Solvent in for general-purpose use. This is the same cleaner sportsmen have been using since 1903 just in an easy to use formula. This solvent penetrates quickly and removes primer, powder, lead and metal fouling while preventing rust.

59ML Bottle.

This is cleaning oil is our No1 seller. It's been NZ's favourite for decades. It won't be beat.

2 fluid ozs, 59mls solvent.

Lead and metal fouling left in gun bores are serious enemies of accuracy. They often conceal rust spots - but they do not prevent rust under the lead or jacket metal from working. This hidden rust eats into the steel & forms pits.

Lead collects quickly & metal fouling sometimes does; but they are not always apparent to the untrained eye. The expert can readily detect either. But Hoppe's No. 9 finds them promptly. Minute flakes of lead on the patch or blue or greenish stain after the first swabbing with No. 9 prove the presence of lead or metal fouling.

To safeguard the accuracy if your rifle, shotgun, pistol or revolver first saturate a patch with No. 9, insert in bore on cleaning rod & work back and forth slowly until bore is well cleaned. Then wipe with a fresh patch.

If polished bore shows lead or metal fouling streaks or other spots, saturate patch with No. 9 and swab some more. Repeat until bore is bright, clean & patch shows no stains.

Give a final swabbing with a saturated patch to leave a thin rust-preventing film of No. 9 on the metal. For neglected bores, a bristle brush may be used.

If gun is to be laid away, repeat cleaning next day to remove any residue brought out of toll marks or rust pits by No. 9.

Used by prominent shooters, leading gun clubs gun clubs and law enforcement officers.
