This base is to fit on the Remington 700 Short Action. It has a 20MOA forward slopping angle built in. The mount is multi-slotted and will allow you to fit 99% of the scopes made using weaver style rings. Question: What is a 20MOA base? Answer: A 20MOA base is a scope base with a forward slopping angel built in that allows you to zero your rifle at 100 yards without wasting your elevation travel in your scope. Question: Do I need a 20MOA Base. Answer: It depends on how far you plan to shoot., but I would recommend a 20MOA base over a flat base. With a 20MOA base you can comfortably get 100 years zero and you’ll have 20MOA more adjustment to using your scope for long range shooting.
